Poker Math Sheet
Pot Odds and Required Equity Cheat Sheet
A printable poker math card for required equity, final pot, and common bet sizes.
Core Formula
- Required equity = call amount / final pot after calling.
- Final pot = current pot + villain bet + your call.
- Example: pot 100, villain bets 50, you call 50. Final pot is 200, so required equity is 25%.
Quick Bet-Size Benchmarks
- Facing 1/3 pot: you need about 20% equity.
- Facing 1/2 pot: you need about 25% equity.
- Facing 2/3 pot: you need about 28.6% equity.
- Facing pot: you need about 33.3% equity.
Do Not Stop at the Number
- Check whether your equity can actually realize.
- Consider implied odds and reverse implied odds.
- Ask whether future streets will create more pressure.
- Use ranges, not only your exact hand.
Practice Routine
- Do five quick drills before reading hand reviews.
- Say the formula out loud: call amount divided by final pot after calling.
- After the number, write one range reason to call or fold.
- Replay every pot-odds mistake from the Review Queue.
