6-Max Preflop Range Cheat Sheet
A beginner-friendly printable study sheet for UTG, MP, CO, BTN, SB, and BB preflop discipline.
Open-Range Reminder
- UTG: start tight with strong pairs, strong Ax, suited broadways, and a few high-quality suited connectors.
- MP: add a little width, but keep dominated offsuit hands under control.
- CO: begin stealing blinds, while respecting an active button.
- BTN: open widest because position helps you realize equity.
- SB: remember that cheap does not mean easy; you often play out of position.
- BB: defend by opener position, not by price alone.
Before You Enter the Pot
- What position am I in?
- Who has already raised or called?
- Will this hand make strong top pair, strong draws, or dominated one-pair spots?
- If I face a 3-bet, do I know my continue plan?
Common Beginner Leak
- Playing weak Ax from early position.
- Calling 3-bets just to see a flop.
- Treating suited trash as automatically playable.
- Ignoring the players still left to act.
How to Train This Sheet
- Run 10 Range Trainer decisions after reading the matrix.
- Write down every hand you wanted to play but folded.
- Compare missed hands against the matrix before changing your range.
- Use Progress to identify whether your leak is too loose, too tight, or position-blind.
